NAS – Now Ahimaaz the son of Zadok said once more to Joab, "But whatever happens, please let me also run after the Cushite." And Joab said, "Why would you run, my son, since you will have no reward for going?"
ALE – ויסף עוד אחימעץ בן צדוק ויאמר אל יואב ויהי מה ארצה נא גם אני אחרי הכושי ויאמר יואב למה זה אתה רץ בני ולכה אין בשורה מצאת
BHS – וַיֹּ֙סֶף עֹ֜וד אֲחִימַ֤עַץ בֶּן־צָדֹוק֙ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֶל־יֹואָ֔ב וִ֣יהִי מָ֔ה אָרֻֽצָה־נָּ֥א גַם־אָ֖נִי אַחֲרֵ֣י הַכּוּשִׁ֑י וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יֹואָ֗ב לָֽמָּה־זֶּ֞ה אַתָּ֥ה רָץ֙ בְּנִ֔י וּלְכָ֖ה אֵין־בְּשֹׂורָ֥ה מֹצֵֽאת׃
MAS – ויסף עוד אחימעץ בן צדוק ויאמר אל יואב ויהי מה ארצה נא גם אני אחרי הכושׁי ויאמר יואב למה זה אתה רץ בני ולכה אין בשׂורה מצאת
WLC – וַיֹּ֙סֶף עֹ֜וד אֲחִימַ֤עַץ בֶּן־צָדֹוק֙ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֶל־יֹואָ֔ב וִ֣יהִי מָ֔ה אָרֻֽצָה־נָּ֥א גַם־אָ֖נִי אַחֲרֵ֣י הַכּוּשִׁ֑י וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יֹואָ֗ב לָֽמָּה־זֶּ֞ה אַתָּ֥ה רָץ֙ בְּנִ֔י וּלְכָ֖ה אֵין־בְּשֹׂורָ֥ה מֹצֵֽאת׃
RAH – καὶ προσέθετο ἔτι Αχιμαας υἱὸς Σαδωκ καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς Ιωαβ καὶ ἔστω ὅτι δράμω καί γε ἐγὼ ὀπίσω τοῦ Χουσι. καὶ εἶπεν Ιωαβ ἵνα τί τοῦτο τρέχεις, υἱέ μου δεῦρο, οὐκ ἔστιν σοι εὐαγγελία εἰς ὠφέλειαν πορευομένῳ.

NAS – The watchman called and told the king. And the king said, "If he is by himself there is good news in his mouth." And he came nearer and nearer.
ALE – ויקרא הצפה ויגד למלך ויאמר המלך אם לבדו בשורה בפיו וילך הלוך וקרב
BHS – וַיִּקְרָ֤א הַצֹּפֶה֙ וַיַּגֵּ֣ד לַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ אִם־לְבַדֹּ֖ו בְּשֹׂורָ֣ה בְּפִ֑יו וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ הָלֹ֖וךְ וְקָרֵֽב׃
MAS – ויקרא הצפה ויגד למלך ויאמר המלך אם לבדו בשׂורה בפיו וילך הלוך וקרב
WLC – וַיִּקְרָ֤א הַצֹּפֶה֙ וַיַּגֵּ֣ד לַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ אִם־לְבַדֹּ֖ו בְּשֹׂורָ֣ה בְּפִ֑יו וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ הָלֹ֖וךְ וְקָרֵֽב׃
RAH – καὶ ἀνεβόησεν ὁ σκοπὸς καὶ ἀπήγγειλεν τῷ βασιλεῖ. καὶ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεύς εἰ μόνος ἐστίν, εὐαγγελία ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτοῦ. καὶ ἐπορεύετο πορευόμενος καὶ ἐγγίζων.
